The Dragino RS485-LB RS485 to LoRaWAN® Converter is a battery-powered industrial interface that enables seamless integration of RS485, Modbus, and UART sensors into long-range LoRaWAN® networks. Designed for smart industrial and infrastructure deployments, the RS485-LB allows wired sensors to transmit data wirelessly to LoRaWAN® gateways and IoT platforms.

Users can configure the device to periodically send custom commands to connected RS485 devices, collect returned data, process it through flexible rule settings, and upload optimized payloads to a LoRaWAN® server. It also supports downlink communication, forwarding commands from the LoRaWAN® network directly to connected RS485 devices.

The RS485-LB is powered by a high-capacity 8500mAh Li/SOCl2 battery, ensuring multi-year operation with ultra-low sleep current (5uA). With controllable 3.3V and 5V outputs for external sensors, it optimizes total system power consumption. The device runs LoRaWAN® 1.0.3 Class A and supports IN865 frequency band for India along with multiple global bands.
