The Dragino WSS-27 is an RS485 Photosynthetically Active Radiation (PAR) sensor designed to measure natural light within the 400–700 nm wavelength range used by plants for photosynthesis. It uses a precision optical detector with a dedicated 400–700 nm optical filter and converts incident radiation into a signal proportional to the received light intensity. 

With a measurement range of 0–2500 μmol/m²·s, 1 μmol/m²·s resolution, and ±2% accuracy, the WSS-27 is suited to greenhouse monitoring, precision agriculture, crop research and weather-station applications. It communicates through RS485, operates from 5–24V DC, and can be connected to the Dragino WSC2-L Weather Station Controller for LoRaWAN-based remote monitoring.
