Dragino MDS120-LB is a LoRaWAN® microwave radar distance sensor designed for reliable distance, level and object detection in outdoor and industrial IoT applications. It uses 60GHz FMCW radar technology to measure distances from 15 cm to 1200 cm with 1 cm resolution and an accuracy of ±(2 cm + S × 0.3%), where S is the measured value. Unlike ultrasonic or LiDAR sensing, microwave radar can provide reliable measurements in condensation and dusty environments, making the MDS120-LB suitable for liquid-level monitoring, parking systems, object presence detection, smart waste management, sewer monitoring and automation. It supports LoRaWAN 1.0.3 Class A, Bluetooth 5.1 configuration, wireless OTA firmware updates, an 8500mAh Li-SOCl2 battery and IN865 frequency support for deployments in India.
